Michael Miller is a young man of few words, but his presence makes a powerful punch like it did his first two years as a football player at LaGrange High School (LHS). Now that he is about to graduate, he knows his time at both LHS and THINC College & Career Academy was meaningful and helped him finalize his postsecondary plans. Preparing for Georgia State University will be bittersweet for Miller because he will miss being a member of Future Business Leaders of America and the THINC Robotics class.
Miller reminisces on his classroom experiences and teachers but is careful about naming the most influential teacher, “They all helped me in one way or another.” One thing he does do is muse on his family support, “My family and the people in my life had my back and kept me going and motivated. My parents continued pushing me to do better. They encouraged me to do better. That means a lot to me,” he stated.
Miller encourages all his peers and others around him to spend their time wisely as the country eases into a semblance of normalcy. He said, “In high school, you will need a lot of rest because you get very busy very quickly. If you are an underclassmen, it’s good to use your time right now to prepare for next school year. I know it may be difficult with so many distractions, but it will be worth it to be prepared.”
