Authorities have arrested a man accused of robbing the Taco Bell drive-thru in LaGrange over the weekend.
Friday night about 8:22 p.m., officers with the La-Grange Police Department were called to the Taco Bell on New Franklin Road in LaGrange in reference to a panic alarm.
Police arrived on scene and were advised an employee working the drive-thru window had been robbed at gunpoint.
The suspect reportedly came through the drive-thru and after paying for his order, he brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then reached through the window and took an undetermined amount of cash from the register before fleeing from the scene in a Chevrolet Tahoe.
The suspect vehicle was captured on Taco Bell surveillance cameras and with the assistance of the Lee County Sheriff Office the vehicle was located at a residence in Smith Station, Alabama.
The vehicle owner, Travis Barnes, age 37, was later arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
