Suspect Accused of Breaking Female’s Jaw in Domestic Incident

LaGrange Police have arrested a local man on felony domestic violence charges after he allegedly struck a female in the face and broke her jaw.

Early Wednesday morning, about 4:11 a.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department were called to 900 block of South Parkway in Lagrange in reference to reports of a domestic altercation.

Officers arrived and made contact with the female victim, who was found to have had suffered serious injuries from an apparent domestic assault. The female was transported to the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment, where she was treated for injuries suffered during the incident and later released.

Police say that the subsequent investigation revealed that a physical altercation occurred between the female victim and Jason Wisconsin Dixon at their shared residence. During this altercation, Dixon reportedly struck Hill in her face, causing what was later determined to be a fractured jaw.

As a result of the investigation, Dixon was taken into custody and charged with the attack.

Dixon, age 66, was arrested and transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked into the jail charged with Aggravated Battery – Family Violence Act. This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
