LaGrange Police are investigating a robbery that was reported Saturday night at a local fast food joint, where the robber left empty handed when employees refused to give him any cash.

Late Saturday night about 11:34 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the Burger King restaurant on Roanoke Road in reference to a hold up alarm from the business.

While en route, the robbery was confirmed via a call to Troup 911, advising the suspect had fled the location.

Officers spoke to management, who advised that an armed male had entered the business with a gun and demanded money. The unknown male then fled the location after employees confronted him and refused to give him any money.

The suspect was described as a black male, standing 5 foot 8 inches to 6 foot tall, weighing an estimated 140 to 180 pounds.

The male was last seen wearing khaki pants, a black sweatshirt, and one red shoe and one blue shoe.

Witnesses say the suspect’s face was partially covered with a black cloth, possibly a shirt.

The suspect brandished what appeared to be a silver revolver.

This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigations Section.
