LaGrange Police have arrested a male and female who allegedly drove off with a man’s pickup truck while it was parked at a local gas station.
Sunday night about 9:14 p.m., officers with the La-Grange Police Department responded to the Exxon Mobil Travel Center on Whitesville Road in reference to an Auto Theft.
Officers arrived and met with the vehicle owner, who stated his Ford F-150 pickup truck had been stolen while it was parked at the gas pumps.
Police were able to review security video from the location, which showed a male and female taking the truck. Officers were able to identify the male as Clint Fulghum, but the female he was with was unknown at the time.
The stolen truck was later located by Troup County Sheriff’s Deputies and recovered by police in the 800 block of Hammett Road around 11 p.m.
Police say that the driver of the truck, Fulghum, provided detectives with a fictitious version of how he come to be in possession of the truck.
The female passenger, later identified as Ashley Hall, also provided a false name in an attempt to conceal her identity. After confirming her real identity, police were able to confirm that there was an active warrant for her arrest on a separate case.
As a result, Fulghum, age 26, and Hall, age 21, were arrested and transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office where they were charged with Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle.
Hall was additionally charged with Obstruction of Officers for providing a false name and date of birth.
