Police Investigating Attempted Store Robbery

Police are investigating an incident where two armed suspects attempted to rob a convenience store in LaGrange.

Sunday afternoon about 12:27 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the 777 store on Greenville Street in reference to reports of an Armed Robbery.

Officers arrived and made contact with the store clerk, who stated that two unknown black males had just entered the store and attempted to rob them.

The victim explained that one of the suspects brandished a handgun and then pointed the weapon at her while coming towards her behind the counter. The clerk then set off a panic alarm and the suspects fled the location before they could take anything.

The suspects were only described as unknown black males with their faces covered.

This incident is still under investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
